Fact #44: In 1964, the Library used "pink slips" that patrons signed to check out books. A trial run of the new Regiscope Machine began. The Regiscope took a photograph of the patron's identification, and the film had to be sent away for processing. A month later, the Regiscope had been sent back to the distributor and "pink slips" were back.
